Getting There & Parking — Shakarparian, Islamabad
Shakarparian National Park is near the central part of the city, but final access is via hillside roads. Methods by airport, public transport, taxi, private car, and parking are described here.

Easiest way: Use a licensed taxi or ride-hailing directly to “Shakarparian National Park / Pakistan Monument zone”.
Public transport: From the airport take the metrobus/urban transit toward central Islamabad, then cover the final leg by feeder or taxi from a suitable interchange.
The CDA public transit map lists ST-02 as a feeder running via the Shakarparian Park from PIMS. Routes, operating days, and frequency can change.
Practical strategy: first reach PIMS via the main corridor, then take the current feeder or a short taxi ride.
Rather than just saying “Shakarparian” to the driver, specify the desired visitor zone. Before return, it helps to check mobile signal and vehicle availability.
For a private car, go to the marked parking zone and follow traffic-control instructions. A short walk inside the hill is pleasant, but walking or cycling from far against the large expressways is not comfortable for every traveller.
